 | Ewe Turn is a fun-filled puzzle game where you must help your trusty border collie find where all the missing sheep went and herd as many of them as you can to the safety of the Last Acre. Use your border collie to herd your oddly talented sheep around the field solving puzzles on the way to the Last Acre. Once you've solved all the puzzles in the field, you can lead your sheep out to the pasture or, in later levels, onto the next acre of the field. Once you've solved all the puzzles that stand in your way, you can move on to the next level! Each puzzle in the field will require one or more sheep. Most puzzles require a specific kind of sheep to solve. Luckily for you, you don't have just an ordinary herd of sheep! Depending on how far you are into the game you may have up to 9 different kinds of sheep! To move a sheep, click on it to see the Big Hand appear, then click the Move button. Watch as your border collie moves towards the sheep. Once the dog is close enough to herd the sheep, he'll let out a bark and you'll see the move button change. Then just click where you want your sheep to go and your dog will happily herd the sheep around. At the start of the first several levels, you will discover a new type of sheep. Each type of sheep that you add to your herd will give you more chances to solve newer and larger puzzles. You'll see an information window pop up that gives you some basic information about the new sheep you found. The first thing you must do when you discover a new type of sheep is get it to safety. Each type of sheep will find itself in different circumstances but the basic rule is the same: you must safely navigate to various puzzle hoops without touching any of the obstacles. If you manage to get the sheep to safety, you'll proceed to the next acre and find your new sheep in the herd. Moving sheep around is fun, but how can you solve puzzles with them? Glad you asked! First you must get your dog to herd the sheep (like you just did). Then you need to look for a Puzzle Hoop. Puzzle Hoops are places on the puzzles that your sheep can go. Once your dog is herding a sheep, click a hoop and your dog will move the sheep onto the hoop. One of two things will happen: either the hoop will light up and turn red (indicating that this is the correct sheep to solve this part of the puzzle) or it will stay grayed out, which means you need a different sheep here. If the puzzle only has one Puzzle Hoop, if you get the correct sheep onto the hoop, you'll see how your sheep completes the puzzle and you'll get points! If it was the wrong sheep, you may see the sheep try to solve the puzzle and fail, but he'll always shrug if he fails. If a puzzle has multiple Puzzle Hoops, you will need to place sheep on all the hoops before you'll see any changes. If you watch carefully though, you'll see which hoops you solved correctly, which will allow you to quickly try again. If a hoop is activated, it will show the symbol of the sheep that solved it. Beware! Sometimes a puzzle can be solved by multiple kinds of sheep, so if you see a puzzle you've seen before but don't have the same sheep in your herd, try a new one. Once you have solved a puzzle (by placing the correct sheep on the correct hoops), you will score some points. If you solve all the puzzles on the field, then the pasture exit will appear. Once you have solved the puzzle, you can click the signs to move on to the next acre or complete the level. As the game progresses, you will be given new acres on your field. These new areas will hold more puzzles to solve before you find the pasture. You can look at all the acres in your field using the minimap in the lower-left corner of the screen. Each square is a new acre. Each level always starts in the upper-left corner of the map. You will always have to proceed through each acre in turn and solve all the puzzles before you will find the pasture. As you make your way to the Last Acre, you may run across the certain "challenges". In other words, you have to figure out ways not to lose your sheep! The Butterfly Sheep can't resist watching butterflies! Though very cute, this can be annoying if you're trying to solve a puzzle and downright dangerous if there are wolves around. The Wolf Beware the wolf in sheep's clothing! This nasty predator may appear randomly or if you spend too much time in an acre. Scare him off by touching him with your dog! The Rustlers These no-good varmints are after your sheep! Fortunately they hate loud noises, so if you can get your sheep to "baa" enough times, they'll cover their ears and run! By finding all the lost sheep of your herd and getting as many of them to the safey of the Last Acre as possible, you'll earn dots and eventually a Dottery Ball! What are you waiting for? Get to sheepdoggin! |
