 | Mahjongg Ascension is a classical mahjongg game where you must climb the path of the mountain. You must solve ten puzzles in turn to complete your ascension.
Mahjongg is a solitaire game where tiles with the same engraving on the face are matched and removed from the board, The catch is that in order to remove a tile, it cannot have a tile resting on top of it and it must not have any tiles either to the left or the right of it.
Using these rules, you must match tiles pair by pair until there are no tiles left on the board.
In Mahjongg Ascension you can remove up to 5 tiles without having to also remove their matching pair. This allows you to bypass tiles whose matches are not accessible in order to get to tiles that can be cleared more easily.
CAUTION: If there are only two of a given tile left on the board, DO NOT put them both in your discard pile! Doing so guarantees that you will not be able to clear the board!
Hint: only use the discard pile when you must, and if you do use it work quickly to clear it out again.
Bonus Tiles:
Each level of Mahjongg Ascension has two or more special tiles on the board.
You can distinguish them by their red tile tint.
If you match these tiles in the correct sequence, you will receive a large bonus to your score and a special animation.
In the lower left corner of the screen you will see the sequence that you must follow to complete the bonus. Remove the left-most tile pair first.
If you make a move that you wish to undo, simply press the Undo button at the bottom of the screen. Note: you can only undo moves, not matches, and only the last move can be undone.
If you get stuck and cannot find a match, you may use the Hint button to light up a pair of tiles to remove. However, doing so costs you points, so use this feature sparingly!
Note: there will be cases where there are moves available if you were to use your discard pile that the Hint button cannot locate. If you press the Hint button and no tiles light up, you will not lose points.
As you complete each level, you will see your progress up the mountain.
