 | Each player is dealt five cards face down. The rounds then progress as follows: First Betting Round: Play begins to dealer's left. First player is required to post small blind which is equal to half of the lower bet size. The player to his left is required to post the big blind which is equal to the lower bet size. Each player in turn, proceeding to the left, may call, raise, or fold. Any raise must be of the low limit bet size. A maximum of three raises may be made, (big blind bet doesn't count as a raise) and the round ends after all bets have been matched. The small blind bettor will have to match the difference between the small and big blind when play comes back to him. When play comes back to the big blind bettor, if nobody has raised, he may check, raise, or fold. If the pot was raised, he may call, raise, or fold. Discards: Play begins to dealer's left. Each player in turn, discards from 0 to 5 cards and is dealt new cards to replace those discarded. Final Betting Round: Play begins to dealer's left. The beginning player may bet, check, or fold. Subsequent players may place an initial bet, check, or fold if no bet has been made, or they may raise, call, or fold if a bet has been made. Bets and raises in this round must be of the higher limit bet size. A maximum of three raises may be made, and the round ends after all bets have been matched. Showdown: All players who haven't folded turn their cards face up. The player(s) with the highest ranking hand win the pot, splitting it equally if more than one player has the highest hand. Standard poker comparisons for hands are used. |
