 | Objective Capture or confine all of your opponent’s pieces to win this version of this classic board game.
Rules Ultimate Checkers is played by two players. If no human opponent is available, or if a human opponent quits a game in progress, the computer player will join the game automatically. If a human player joins a game in progress, the game will be reset.
The player who started the table is the host and moves first. Pieces are moved diagonally forward one square onto a vacant square of the same color. When a piece reaches the opponent’s back row, it is crowned and becomes a King. A King may move one square at a time both forward and backward. A King may capture in either direction as well. King’s may be captured by other Kings or standard pieces.
You may capture an opposing player’s piece by jumping over it diagonally to an empty square. Captured pieces are automatically removed from the board. If your piece is now in a position to capture another enemy pieces by continuing to jump diagonally, it is required to do so.
A player wins when the opponent’s pieces have been captured, or blocked so they are unable to move.
Dots are awarded at the end of each game based on game play, with double and triple jumps earning bonus Dots. Five wins earns a Dottery Ball! |
