 | To play Slippery Words you need to make as many words as you can from the six letters on the easel cards in front of the stage. Words must have at least 3 letters, and they can't be proper names, abbreviations, or contractions.
To build a word, click the letters in order. To spell "FISH," first click (or type) the letter "F"; then "I" and “S”; and finally "H."
Once you have made a word, click the "Feed Slippery" button or hit the ENTER key. Once you get a word in the puzzle, it will appear in the bubbles at the top of the screen. Spelling correct words will move the Seagull along the bottom of the screen and earn you bonuses.
When the Seagull reaches the small fish you will get a point/dot bonus. Reaching the starfish will earn you more time to finish the puzzle. Completing the entire puzzle will earn you more dots and a Dottery Ball.
Quick Tips:
- Puzzle words are in alphabetical order within each group of 3, 4, 5, and 6 letter words. You can use this to try and guess at words you do not know.
- Use the keyboard to make the game play faster and easier!
